Man Glassed Woman’s Head For Refusing To Dance With Him

A nightclub reveller was glassed in the head by a man after she refused to DANCE with him. These shocking pictures show the injuries the 21-year-old woman suffered in the terrifying attack which happened after she spurned her admirer’s advances. Police said the attacker “took offence” and smashed the bottle he was holding before hitting the woman, who had been enjoying a night out with her mum, over the head with it. The woman’s mother stepped in to protect her and was also slashed with a jagged piece of glass. Both women suffered deep lacerations which needed stitches at hospital and now police have released pictures of the daughter’s injuries and a man they want to speak to regarding the incident, in a bid they may trigger the memories of other revellers at  Benjamins nightclub, Halesowen, West Mid, on November 16, last year. DC Dave Hackett from Force CID said: “I am convinced that someone would have seen the incident and remembered this unprovoked attack on the dance floor of a busy club. “I would also appeal to the friends of the attacker, whom I believe were present, and will have key information which can assist our investigation. “This attack has been a life changing event for the mum and her daughter and I would urge anyone who can help to contact us immediately.” In December last year a 26-year-old local man was arrested, but was subsequently released without charge.
